Embrace the World – Outdoor Communities in a time of Climate Crisis (EmWo-OCCC)

Embrace the World – Outdoor Communities in a time of Climate Crisis (EmWo-OCCC) project aims to contribute to environmental sustainability by restoring the vital link between young people and nature.

The project was developed to strengthen and upskill anyone involved in the project including teachers, youth workers, stakeholders and the broader public. The project aims to develop nature literacy and agency, exchange new practices and methods at a transnational level, and upscale and broaden out green education practices for new target groups.

During the project period, the activities that will take place at the project include national and transnational trainings and courses for skill sharing between partner organisations and youth educators. Also, nature camps and climate clubs will be established in all partner countries to involve local nature-unfamiliar young people. At the end of the project, a Best Practice Summary booklet will be created to inspire and guide others on how to engage young people in outdoor activities with an environmental focus.

This project is delivered in collaboration with organisations from another 3 countries, Friends of the Earth Malta, Den Selvejende Institution NOAH Forening(Denmark) and Centar za zivotnu sredinu (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
