GENERAL (ELECTIVE) MEETING OF ΤΗΕ ASSOCIATION “FRIENDS OF THE EARTH”

All Friends of the Earth Cyprus members are warmly invited to our Annual (Elective) General Meeting, which will take place on Friday, 22 September 2023, 18:00 – 20:30 at our premises in Limassol (361 Agiou Andreou Street).
Your presence this year is crucial since we will be electing the new Board of Directors of the Association for the next two years. We need people with new ideas that could contribute, through our Organisation, to environmental and social justice. The challenges are plenty and constant, but with a joint vision and teamwork we can achieve a lot!
Agenda:
1. Welcome and report of last year’s activities by the President
2. Last year’s financial report by the Treasurer.
3. Discussion and decision-making on agenda items.
4. Election of the new Board and Audit Committee.
The new Board will consist of seven members, plus three runners-up with a term of office of two years.
The Association members have the right to propose to the Board topics for the agenda at least seven (7) days before the AGM (please do so via email) and vote for the new Board member during the AGM.
According to the new Articles of Association, members who have settled their financial obligations to the organization have the right to participate in the Annual General Meeting. Therefore, we ask those members who have not renewed their annual subscription (€ 10 for people under 35, € 20 for people 35 and older and € 30 for families) to do so as soon as possible, by the opening of the Annual General Meeting *.
Members who cannot attend the Annual General Meeting, can participate via ZOOM, by following this link (https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUpc-murDMsHN2ImCNpPgfCgtUxuraSC5U6) (registration required). Representation through another member is no longer possible, thus only registered members will be approved for online participation in the Annual General Meeting via ZOOM.
