Youth
FoE Cyprus strive to maintain our young FoE Cyprus group and expand it. YFoE Cyprus will develop further the ways of working with youth and their involvement in the decision making of FoE Cyrpus. FoE Cyprus further mobilises resources for YFoE Cyprus’ work, including exchange programmes in European and the wider Mediterranean region.
Intersectionality
Intersectionality is a framework for understanding and analysing how the different socio-political identities of a person overlap and combine to create forms of privilege and oppression. Through this lens, we can enrich our understanding and fight effectively against oppressive systems. We realise that intersectional movements are crucial for tackling systemic oppression and achieving true justice.
For that, we aim to create an open, diverse and inclusive environmental justice movement that acknowledges and incorporates intersectionality in all of its work. We aim to understand and inform ourselves about the causes of these injustices.

Network development
Friends of the Earth Cyprus has established a network of active members and volunteers in the cities of Limassol and Nicosia. Our vision for the future will be to work towards reaching out, involving and bring together active citizens from all cities of Cyprus, taking into specific focus rural and remote areas of the country in order to include marginalised citizens that are usually excluded from decision-making procedures and have limited access to opportunities regarding active citizenship. Future work will also focus on engaging communities and building local groups of Friends of the Earth Cyprus from highly biodiverse areas that are currently threatened like the case of the Akamas Peninsula.
